City Express by Marriott Osaka Shin-Imamiya
International Midscale Hotel

Located in Osaka’s vibrant Nishinari Ward, will undergo extensive renovation, and is scheduled to re-open in spring 2026 as City Express by Marriott Osaka Shin-Imamiya.

City Express by Marriott Shin-Imamiya is expected to feature 100 guest rooms and will be a nine-story standalone property located in Haginochaya, Nishinari-ku, directly adjacent to Shin-Imamiya Station, a major interchange served by the JR Osaka Loop Line, Nankai Main Line, and Osaka Metro. Its prime location is set to provide guests with seamless connectivity across Osaka and the greater Kansai region.

Drawing inspiration from the local North Hanazono area of Osaka, the hotel is designed around the theme “City Rhythm in Fragments”. The fusion of North Hanazono’s raw urban energy with City Express’ streamlined functionality creates a hospitality experience that feels both grounded and elevated, a perfect balance between rhythm and order. The rebranding transforms the property into welcoming, thoughtfully designed space that serve both business and leisure travelers.

Capitalizing on the generous floorplate of the hotel, the guest rooms and public areas will undergo a full redesign to reflect a minimalist yet stylish aesthetic. Rooms will feature intuitive layouts and art inspired by Osaka’s iconic Tsutenkaku Tower and the surrounding city grid, anchoring the experience in local context. The result is a fresh hospitality concept, where international standards meet local character, powered by design and connectivity.
